Alvaro Negredo Calls Time on Career
Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo has retired from professional football at the age of 39. The former Sevilla, Manchester City, and Valencia forward announced his decision with a simple message: "Thanks, football."
Negredo, who last played for Real Valladolid, won the Premier League and League Cup with City in 2013-14 and was part of Spain's Euro 2012-winning squad.
Over his career, he played for clubs across Spain, England, and Turkey, scoring 290 goals in 755 appearances.
