From Hate To Love
Episode 1: A Clash of Egos
Blossom Okonkwo stepped into the towering glass building of Zenith Global Holdings, her heels clicking against the polished marble floors. It was her first day as the company's new Marketing Manager, and she was determined to make an impact.
But her excitement dimmed the moment she met Mike Adewale—the arrogant, annoyingly good-looking Head of Sales. From the first handshake, there was tension. He smirked as if challenging her, his dark brown eyes scanning her with a mixture of curiosity and amusement.
"Hope you’re ready to keep up, Miss Okonkwo," Mike said, his deep voice carrying a hint of mischief.
"Keep up?" Blossom raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I don’t follow, Mr. Adewale. I lead."
Their colleagues exchanged knowing glances.
From that moment, it was war.
Blossom didn’t have time for egotistical men who thought they owned the world. She had worked too hard to get where she was, and she wasn’t about to let some overconfident sales executive undermine her authority.
Mike, on the other hand, had been with Zenith Global Holdings for five years. He was the company’s golden boy—charming, persuasive, and excellent at closing deals. But he had never liked working with marketing managers. In his opinion, they were all talk and no results.
So, when Blossom walked into that conference room for their first strategy meeting, he was already on the defensive.
“Alright, let’s hear what you’ve got,” Mike said, leaning back in his chair, arms crossed. His tone was condescending, as if he expected her to stumble.
Blossom gave him a sweet but deadly smile. “Oh, I don’t ‘have something’ for you, Mike. We’re supposed to work together, not play student and teacher. I assume you’ve read my proposal?”
Silence.
The other team members shifted awkwardly. Mike hadn’t read it.
Blossom tilted her head. “No? Pity. I was hoping to have an informed conversation.” She slid the printed document across the table.
