"Good day sir," the man in the suit greeted, "Good day, how can I help you?"

Mr. Beri was worried about seeing Jambo again and the man in the suit introduced himself, "I am Barrister Ngwa, I am here to resolve the paternity issue still pending, about the twins in your house. My client here, believes the twins are his children and is here to claim them,"

"You should have allowed their mother's health to be re-established before rushing matters,"

"The earlier the better,"

"What if the children turn out to be his, as he claims?"

"Then we will give up."

"Then we shall conduct a DNA test to find out if he is really their father."

That was the worried words of Mr. Beri who didn't end there but promised, "Even if the twins turn out to be his children, i will still fight for the rights of my housemaid, that hoodlum is not worthy to father a child, he is irresponsible,"

"I can sue you for character deformation, sir," the lawyer threatened and he reminded him, "Everyone knows this guy is a rogue, why then did he not take care of his responsibilities,"

"See you in court then, after the DNA test Mr. Beri."

The lawyer was very sure, the kids will turned out to be Jambo's. He was so worried after the threats and went straight to confront the housemaid. When he got to her room he couldn't look at the babies as usual or carry both of them one after another because he felt bad.

"Abigail,"

"Yes sir,"

"Can you excuse us for a moment?" He asked the new helper to give the two of them some private space and she walked out. Then she walked straight to the master's wife, without his consent,

"Please madam, as you assigned me, your husband asked me out of her room. He said he wanted to chat with her in private,"

"That is the reason I gave you that huge sum of money, to spy on her and my husband. I need to know what is going on between those two. Why my husband, is bent on adopting those kids."

"I couldn't go against your husband's wishes,"

"Don't be a fool, you should have stood by the door to eavesdrop on what they are discussing. Go back there fast and listen to their conversation."

Then she hurried back, speaking to herself, "This is even the opportunity that can make me gain madam's trust and become her favorite maid. How can I be hired to take care of another housemaid and her kids and I am paid this much. I will not want to go back to that my old job, if I have an opportunity to stay back here. If I can be able to get information that will get Jaila fired, then I will take her position."

It was absolutely cunning for Verona to offer money to Abigail to pry on her husband and Jaila. No one could expect that the newly hired helper could become a domestic spy in a short while. Verona had not stop using every circumstance to her advantage.

"Like I was saying," the master continued his conversation with Jaila, "You shouldn't have told me in the first place that you were pregnant for me, if you weren't sure,"

"I am sorry sir, I felt you were truly their biological father. Remember I was molested by Fanla. No woman will like a rascal who uses blackmail to sleep with her, to be the father of her twins,"

"Is there a possibility that the twins can still be my kids,"

"There is sir, and my heart tells me they are yours," she tried to give him hope but knowing within her that; she was worried and terrified herself if the test turned out positive in favor of Fanla. Before the master left she asked him, "Is that the reason you didn't carry them in your arms as usual when you got into my room,"

"Maybe,"

"I am sorry sir,"

"You know this is very important to me."

Then he walked out and was surprised to meet Abigail standing at the door.

"Have you been standing here since you left her room?"

"No sir,"

"Go get yourself busy, and stop listening to what can cost you your job."

"I am sorry sir."

While he walked away, he was worried she might have overheard their conversation.
