Then one Friday night, it happened.

Amaka had travelled to Aba for her cousin’s wedding. I was home alone. Or so I thought.

Around 10:30 p.m., I went into the kitchen for water and there she was—Ekaete—wearing only a tiny tank top and wrapper loosely tied. No bra. No shame.

"Good evening, sir," she said, her voice soft like butter melting on hot bread.

I nodded, tried not to look, but my eyes betrayed me. Her nipples were stiff, peeking through the thin fabric.

“You’re still awake?” I asked, my voice hoarse.

“I was about to sleep, but NEPA brought light. I wan off the freezer.”

She brushed past me—and I swear on my father’s grave—her hips grazed me. Whether accidental or not, my body reacted. Fast.

I froze. She paused too. Turned slowly. Looked into my eyes. There was a heat there. A challenge.

"Sir," she whispered, stepping closer, "do you want me to help you relax?"

I should have walked away. I should’ve remembered my marriage vows. But when her soft hand touched my chest and slid downward, I didn’t stop her.

I didn’t sleep much that night.

She smiled softly, adjusted her wrapper, and whispered, “Good night, sir.”

Good night? How was I supposed to sleep with my manhood still tingling and my brain replaying everything she just did to me?

I lay in bed, restless, the scent of her still on my fingers. The kitchen table still had her fingerprints. My body was still trembling.

And my guilt?

Nowhere to be found.

Instead, all I could think of was her soft lips, the way her small hands knew exactly what to do, the way she moaned softly as she pressed herself against me, teasing me while licking every drop with eyes locked on mine.

By 2:00 a.m., I couldn’t take it anymore.

I got up. Quiet. Careful. Like a thief in my own house.

Her door was slightly open.

I pushed gently. She was lying on her mat, wrapper loose around her thighs, one leg exposed, the curve of her smooth brown skin glowing under the dim hallway bulb.

She wasn’t sleeping.

She was waiting.

She looked at me, that same hungry look in her eyes.

“Close the door,” she whispered.

I did.

She opened her legs slowly, the wrapper sliding down her thighs like it knew it wasn’t needed anymore. She wore nothing underneath.

Nothing.

My mouth went dry.

“Come here, sir,” she said, her voice low, seductive. “Let me show you wetin Calabar girl fit do.”

I dropped to my knees.

I kissed her thighs. She was already dripping. Already shaking. She pulled my head in, gasping softly, her fingers tangled in my hair.

Ekaete was not shy. She didn’t hold back. She guided me like a man she owned, whispering dirty things in Efik I didn’t fully understand—but my body understood every command.

She was loud, unashamed, skin against mine, her moans, her heat—everything about her was pure danger.
