A few days later, Lola was at home and there was an incoming call from one of her classmates. She was told on the phone that there was an emergency that Lola should meet her in the restaurant.

"What can be so urgent that you want me to meet you in the restaurant. I thought you would tell me you are in the hospital."

"Just come."

Then she hurried to the classy campus food joint and met one of her favorite friends in school, though they mostly met just in class but always helped each other with homework. When she got there she was curious,

"You just told me, there was an emergency,"

"Just be patient, the emergency is coming,"

"What! Coming."

A minute later, Simo stood beside their table, "Can I join you girls,"

"Of course," the friend quickly responded and apologized to Lola, "Please Lola, listen to him before drawing conclusions. I am sorry I had to accept to call you here for him. This guy has been on my neck. You guys should chat with each other love is a good thing."

"I cannot sit here..." Lola was trying to prove hard but his voice made her chill. "please Lola, do you want me to go down on my knees,"

"No no! Not here."

Then he sat as the friend left. "I am sorry about the other day, your roommate texted me with your phone that she was home alone waiting for me, so I thought it was you."

"What!"

"Of course, I was shocked when I got there and she locked the door and if you know where she put the key. So when I tried to get the key by force my hands felt what I didn't want to and I became weak,"

"Does it mean you slept with her?"

"No!"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes,"

"Then we will have to carry on a medical check up after three months for me to be sure before you can be my boyfriend,"

"Why?"

"One of her boyfriends died of H.I.V AIDS,"

"What!" Simo was shocked and wondered, "Is that the reason you were trying to stop me from sleeping with her. What you told me the other day,"

"Yes, I love you and I don't want you to be contaminated. She refused to go check herself to be sure that she was negative. So that is the reason I stopped you because I care,"

"Thank you but I never slept with her."

"Remember, this is between you and I, no one should ever know of this. It is her life, I just told you because my heart yearns for you."

So Simo and Lola became closer but two weeks later, the news was all over the campus and every other guy started running away from Shehri. It brought conflict between Lola and Simo because she believed it was him who told the secret to his friends and they spread it but he denied telling anyone. It stirred up on the campus and Shehri wondered why everyone kept snubbing and avoiding her. No guy again came close to her or wanted her to be his boyfriend. Till she finally learned that news was all over the campus that she was a healthy carrier of the deadly virus. It brought panic in school and every other guy who had once had intimacy with her was terrified even to go carry on the medical test.

One of them was bold enough and returned the next day singing because when the other victims approached him, "Guy how far, what were the results,"

"Negative,"

"Are you serious?"

"Check for yourself." He took out the hospital report and showed it to them until one of them said, "Then it means all of us are free,"

"No, I was sure because I used a condom. Did you use one?"

And all of the other guys were terrified because none of them protected themselves. But there had to go find out but we're not yet bold to face the truth.
