Wow. This guy owns so many cars he leases a warehouse just to store them, yet his favorite is the Tesla @cybertruck he just picked up 3 weeks ago.
Story shared from Theodore Denney III on FB:
"I own a LOT of cars: including Ferraris (x2), Mercedes, BMW, a very rare C7 ZR1, Cadillac CTS V Coupe, and I lease Teslas for my key employees. Of all the cars I currently own—and I’d have to think about how many that is, as I lease space to warehouse most of them—the Teslas are by far the best daily drivers. And it’s not even close. They are fun to drive, have excellent range for an EV (more than enough for my daily needs), full self driving for when i don’t feel like it, they are good-looking with a form-follows-function aesthetic I respect as a designer and engineer, and their interiors are Scandinavian minimalist, which is also my personal preference.
My first Tesla, a 2015 Model S, racked up nearly 150,000 miles before I was involved in a serious accident where all airbags deployed and the vehicle was utterly destroyed. I walked away with only a sore wrist from the airbag deployment. In many of my other cars—including the Ferrari’s—that accident likely would have taken my life.
Because Teslas are so transformative, and because Elon himself is transformative, those who feel threatened by the change Tesla and Elon bring feel the need to lash out as a means of self-preservation. But make no mistake: their hatred for the brand is rooted either in its disruptive force on legacy auto brands or in Elon’s dismantling of the political and bureaucratic status quo.
And my favorite car purchased three weeks ago? The unbelievable Cybertruck: all-wheel drive, instantaneous torque vectoring, four-wheel steering, the fastest steering of any car I’ve ever owned, unbelievably comfortable, fun to drive, lightly armored— able to stop hand gun rounds, and practical.".
