" My princess " the old woman called softly staring right into Abina's eyes.

Abina withdrew her hand immediately. No one ever knew she was a princess. She had run away after someone kîlled her mother. She never wanted to return to a kingdom where her mother was murdered in cold blood. She had decided to put her past behind her.

" Where have you been? How did you get into the hands of Mawuli? " The old woman asked whispering.

Abina wanted to tell the woman her whole story but she was scared. She doesn't even know who the woman was or how she recognized her.

" You have to find a way to escape from here. You are not safe here. Keep pretending to be sick. I will help you escape from here " the woman said.

" Who are you ? How did you know who I am ? " Abina asked curiously.

" I...

" How's her health? " Mawuli asked as he walked into the hut.

" I gave her some medicine which will help her get better. I'll still come to check on her tonight to see how she's doing " the woman said to Mawuli with a smile. She stood up , looked at Abina, then Mawuli. Then she walked out of the hut with the little bag she came with.

" I hope you get better soon. I can't wait to have a taste of you my dear. You look so beautiful and charming. I think you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Get well quick" Mawuli said caressing Abina's hair. Then he left the hut.

Abina wondered who the old woman was. The woman said she was going to help her escape from Mawuli's prison. Abina wondered how it was going to happen. She sat down and she remembered Kisi. Kisi would always cheer her up when she was sad or even speak out whenever Akuba was maltreating her.

Time went by quickly and night time arrived. Abina was feeling better already but she had kept up the act of still feeling sick as the old woman suggested earlier. She was scared of what Mawuli meant when he said he couldn't wait to have a taste of her. Someone walked into the hut and it was the old woman. She told Abina to hurry up. She had just distracted the guards at the door post so she could run away.

She told Abina to run away and never look back. Abina walked out of the hut. She tried to run and she stumbled and fell down. She looked up and there was Mawuli standing in front of her.

" The prince is not in his room " one of the guards reported to the king who had asked for the prince. The king wondered where his son was. He ordered the guard to search the palace. The guard came back a few minutes later saying the prince wasn't in the palace. Even his guards didn't know where he went to.

The queen was told about the disappearance of the prince from the palace. She became so worried. No one saw when the prince had left the palace. The king ordered for a quick search for his son. The guards all left the palace in search of the prince.

The prince who had disguised himself as a commoner went about asking questions about the dancing maiden. But it seemed as if no one knew her in the kingdom. The prince decided he would go look for her in the outskirts of the kingdom.

Some palace guards rode around in horses looking for him. He knew the guards were looking for him and he hid himself. His father was not going to permit him to search for Abina. His father had always wanted him to marry from a prestigious family in the kingdom.

When they guards searched around and couldn't find the prince around. They left and went back to the palace. The prince was happy when they left and he quickly ran off towards the outskirts of the Kingdom.

Night was falling and the prince had no where he was going to lay his head. He sat down by the stem of a tree wondering what he was going to do next.

His eyes got blindfolded with a cloth and he could feel himself being tied up. Before the prince could say a word, he received a blow and passed out.

Kisi wasn't happy with the sudden disappearance of Abina. Serwaa and her mother were eating and also discussing the prince who was missing from the Palace. The king had ordered that anyone who found his son was going to receive a huge sum of money. Serwaa wished she knew where the prince was. She would have received so much money and also get to marry him.

" Mama, how can you be here discussing with Serwaa and eating happily when no one has seen Abina or know where she went to " Kisi asked wearing a long face.

Akuba didn't pay attention to Kisi she continued her chitchat with Serwaa.
